pastel hair.
Is this tomorrow’s hair trend? Or today’s?? Or is the “pastel hair trend” already a revolution of yesterday???
Well I know writing about the this topic, I might be bit behind the schedule.
As some pastel shades have been appearing in the locks of some of our “fashion rebel” fashionistas and a certain blogger for the first time a couple of months ago, I considered the whole thing as a simple trend to attract attention and to scandalize. But now, after pink, blue and green dyed hair has also shown up on the runways and in lots of magazine editorials, I can’t help but attracted more and more by this controversial hair trend.

Actually I’m still not sure what to think about this “trend”. Don’t get me wrong, I love the development towards something new, refreshing and a bit crazy. It just makes people look more interesting, unique and more edgy.
But from an objective point of view – pastel hair isn’t really pretty, is it? But of course here comes the question- what is an objective point of view?
Anyway I guess, the problem with this trend is, that it is just not wearable. Not necessarily because of the fact, that our grandparents would shake their heads, if we would show up with some pink, green or blue dyed strands and that everyone else on the street would turn around and stare at us. But mainly because in my eyes out of the model world there aren’t a lot of people who really can pull this look off and rock it. You really need to have perfect pale skin and a natural beauty face in order not to look like a fool, a punk or transgender. And in fact you need a really really good hair dresser!!

Hm, at this point I am kind of happy that I’ve got some really dark hair, which reduces my options to go green or pink down pretty much. Otherwise- who knows- what would happen on one of those days, when I feel like I need a change in my life…
Anyway, for those of you, who have the balls – why not?? Good luck to you and don’t forget about the good hair dresser!!!
