mongrels in common a/w 2012

Mongrels in Common sent very androgynous, stern looking  models over the catwalk who wore very straigh-cut pieces without accentuating the waist, but then on the other side also skirts that made the waist stand out. And from the looks of it, material mix is still a topic at Mongrels in Common.

lena hoschek a/w 2012
Lots of dark berry shades, a little bit glitter and as always Lena Hoschek‘s retro signature look – that pretty much sums up her collection for A/W 2012. We can also expect pleated skirts, “detached” collars and feminine shirt dresses. A highlight – most definitely the rose carpet with Hoschek’s initials.

I simply love the collections of the designer duo Annelie Augustin and Odély Teboul behind Augustin Teboul - instead of showing their latest line on a catwalk, they staged a dramatic performance with the help of sencographer Zana Bosnjak. Instead of focusing on colours and print Augustin Teboul stick to their guns and centre upon detailed piece of needlework.

Wood Wood succeeds in delivering a collection that walks on the fine line between sporty/ scruffy and chic and proofes that the time of the buttoned up collar isn’t over just yet. The collection above is practically my idea of a perfect daily “uniform”.

My favourite collection of day number one that was shown in the fashion tent at Brandenburger Tor was most certainly Lala Berlin, whose collection for A/w 2012 is called Quadrophenia. Yes, it’s named after the eponymus film about The Who and deals with the clash of youth culture and the old fashioned. Chunky knits combined with flowing fabric combined with long cut biker waistcoats and jackets. Perfection!
