lookbook: Meshit & Daliah Spiegel // Wood Wood

The other Saturday I tried to recover from a two day hangover, so I ended up at Donauzentrum instead of Zollergasse for a presentation of the collaboration between Meshit & Daliah Spiegel presented by Wood Wood. I’m pretty sure Floridsdorf already rubbed off on me, after all how could I decide to go to Donauzentrum over going to the presentation of the capsule collection curated by Kasa Schild and Lara García Díaz!? No idea. But I always feel a little bit ‘gangsta’ and out of place there.

So I have to settle for the lookbook instead which doesn’t seize to disappoint. According to the press release the trash inspiration and 90′s influence, mixed with an original patchwork print in basic pieces, make a really interesting proposal for this summer. 90s in that case means 90s prints including  cats, pugs, rabbits, barbie horses and lots of other cute animals – paradise for a former veterinarian student born in the 80s like myself.

Next time I’d be for a bumbag and Emil bottle cover included in the collection and then we’ll feed our Tamagotchi and dance the maccarena!

Samstag vor zwei Wochen habe ich gegen einen bösen 2-tages Kater gekämpft, der mich letztenendes ins Donauzentrum geführt hat, anstatt zur Zollergasse, wo die Kollaboration zwischen Meshit & Daliah Spiegel presented by Wood Wood präsentiert wurde. Ich bin mir schon ziemlich sicher, dass Floridsdorf es geschafft hat auf mich abzufärben, wie sonst habe ich das Donauzentrum der Präsentation der Capsule Kollektion vorgezogen!? Null Ahnung.

Also muss ich mich nun mit dem Lookbook zufrienden geben, welches alles andere als enttäuschend ist. Laut der Presseaussendung formen die Trash Inspiration sowie der 90er Einfluss gemischt mit einem originalen Patchwork Print auf klassischen Stücken ein interessantes Vorhaben für den kommenden Sommer. 90er meint in dem Fall 90er Drucke inklusive Katzen, Möpse (die Hunde!), Hasen, Barbie Pferde und eine Horde anderer putziger Tierchen – das Paradis auf Erden für eine ehemalige Tiermedizin Studentin wie mich!

Für nächstes Mal appeliere ich für eine Bauchtasche und einen Emil-Flaschen-Überzug als Teil der Kollektion und dann füttern wir erst mal unser Tamagotchi und tanzen den Maccarena – Olé!
