They describe their own music as dark punk and DeadWolf Club’s sound is dreamy and vigourosly angry at the same time. Inevitably reminiscient of an early Sonic Youth with soundcarpets made up of humming bass and distorted guitars with additional Brit Rock. Strange Letters is the first release of their second album which is out on tthe 11th of February.
What’s the story behind the name of the band?
Its a pro animal name. Wolves were once present in Great Britain. Early writing from Roman and later Saxon chronicles indicate that wolves appear to have been extraordinarily numerous on the island. Unlike other British animals, wolves were unaffected by island dwarfism, with certain skeletal remains indicating that they may have grown as large as Arctic wolves. The species, which was a threat to livestock, human life and frequently desecrated burial sites, was exterminated from Britain through a combination of deforestation and active hunting through bounty systems. Creme Eggs, Old Horror Films, Video Games, Cats, Dogs, Knitting, Tea, Vodka, Sea, Sand, Dust, The crumbling city that is London, Whose story, 80′s movies, The Mad Hatter, Sugar, Curry Monsters, Prague, Perth, Tintagel, King Arthur, Merlin, Magic Wands, Politics, Religion and a trail of Smashed guitars.
What process do you go through when you write your music?
Flash bang, bang flash, puff, wollop, smash, happy. It can vary sometimes we can write amazingly quickly when we come up with an idea and other times it takes a long time. It depends on how the mood of the day and time takes us. Its like making peanut butter and Jam on Toast and choosing Sweets and Cocktails, you have to get the right mix. Drum beats with a twist of Lemon.
Are you seeking fame or fortune, birds or something altogether different?
We only want people to love or hate us in the great divide. Music is always just opinion, unless its what we think which is clearly right, wrong ?!? Bring on the dancing horses. We want to create World order and Peace forever by aligning the planets.

Quiet Loud Quiet Loud bang Smash Meow…grrrrrrr..it’s time someone stood up and said something for a change!
