Misty Miller – Girlfriend EP
Wow, what a change since we first heard of Misty Miller over on the Burberry Acoustic YouTube channel nearly 3 years ago. Back then she was compared to Laura Marling a lot and now we’re quite glad she didn’t follow her path. Misty’s new material is inspired by the likes of Patti Smith, Iggy Pop and The Stooges, The Velvet Underground, Lou Reed, Irma Thomas, The Sonics, The Gories and the blues which we definitely enjoy listening to as much as her. The move from the ukulele to a grittier 70s sound might be a bold move but makes sense, we’re all growing up after all.
The ‘Girlfriend’ EP is out 25th February featuring 5 tracks.
